We will be meeting Sunday, Jan 8th at 3pm, at a member’s house in Plymouth. RSVP by email for the address.
We will be planning the meetings for next year, elections for officers and enjoying visiting Matt’s plants! Checking out how another of our members grows their plants.
Any member in good standing can nominate themselves for a position. (We currently have president and treasurer.) Votes will be taken by email, if you are so inclined.
Proposals for talks will be gladly accepted! Either by email or in person.
Please RSVP to our yahoo.com e-mail address, username umcps.
Hope you can all make it!
It saddens me to cancel, but Harriet Brewing decided to close two months early, on Nov 30.
With no place and snow making the roads miserable, we will not meet today.
The January meeting will be the elections for the coming year and planning future programs. If you want to present, or vote, please attend January 8th. (Location TBD)
It’s time again for our next social gathering! We will get together on Sunday December 11th at 3:00pm for socializing and talking carnivorous plants. This time we will get together at Harriet Brewing Company.
3036 Minnehaha Ave
Minneapolis, MN 55406
Harriet is closing its doors soon so this could be your last chance to visit.
With sincere apologizes, we would like to announce that the venue for tomorrow’s meeting (Sunday, 13 November at 3pm) has been changed out of necessity. We will now be meeting on the Saint Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota. We’ll be meeting in the Ecology Building located here. The door will be locked, but we’ll have someone there from 2:50pm until 3:10pm, they will be able to direct you to room 150 where we will meet.
Parking is not often enforced on the weekends on the Saint Paul Campus, but if you park in the contract lot, ticking is a risk. Contained within the loop contract lot, there is a pay lot, located right across from the entrance to the building in lot SC106.
Again, we are terribly sorry for this change and hope it is not an inconvenience for anyone. Thank you for your understanding!
Just a quick reminder that we have a meeting coming up. Here’s the details:
Sunday, 13 November, 3pm – The genus Utricularia (the bladderworts.)
Alex will be giving a talk on the genus Utricularia. What they are, the prominent members and how to grow them.
Hope to see you all there!
Where does the time go?! Next week is our next social meeting. We’ll be meeting up at Surly Brewing in Minneapolis on Sunday, October 9th at 3:00pm. No plants. They don’t like it when we bring dripping pots of plant into the restaurant. But great conversation. Hope to see you there!
